Alston Cowl Project Kit

Looking for a rewarding winter project? Martin Storey’s bold paisley cowl is a total showstopper. Worked in the round with soft, chunky Tweed Haze, it crafts up into a lightweight, wonderfully cosy layer you'll reach for all season.

Your kit includes:
3 balls each of Rowan Tweed Haze in the colours Winter 550 and 554 Tornado 
A copy of the Winter Haze pattern book which includes 6 patterns. Martin Storey, Chloe Thurlow and Quail Studio have used Tweed Haze to create a collection of relaxed sweaters and accessories, blurring the lines between classic and modern style.

To complete the Alston you will also need a set of 6mm double-pointed needs or a 6mm circular knitting needle approx. 60cm long. 
We haven't included them in the kit as you might already have your favourite set, but if not, you can purchase them separately here. Plus you will also need stitch markers and a wool needle to weave in yarn ends.

Tension:
18 st and 20 rounds to 10cm measured over patterned st using 6mm needles

Finished Size
Completed cowl is 23.5 cm deep and measures 132 cm all round

Technique: Knitted in the round use the fairisle technique as explained in the pattern book.
