It's now starring the utterly gorgeous Zealana Kauri Worsted yarn, and trust us, this little vest is an absolute delight to create. It's so easy and incredibly fun, you'll be smiling with every stitch.
We've packed this pattern with options for all the tiny tots, from sweet 3-month-olds all the way up to energetic 6-year-olds. And here's where the fun really begins: you can whip it up as a charming vest, or simply knit a little longer to transform it into an adorable tunic!

Months/Years: 3-6m (6-12m, 1-2y, 2-4y, 4-6y)
Yarn: 2 (3-4-5-6) 50g balls of Kauri Worsted / 200 (300m, 400, 500, 600) metres
To Fit Underarm: 40/45 (45/50- 50/55-55/60-60/65) cm
Actual Measurement: (approx.) 50 (56-62-68-74) cm
Length: (approx.) 29 (33-40-44-48)

Needles and Extras
1 pair 5.00 mm Knitting Needles and 1 spare 5.00 mm Knitting Needle;
A 5.00 mm & 5.50 mm Circular Needle (60 cm) or size required to give correct tension;
1 stitch holders and a wool needle for finishing

Pattern Tension
17 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 5mm Needles.
To work a 15 cm x 15 cm tension square, use 5mm Needles, cast on 25 sts and work 34 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely. Please check your tension carefully. If less sts use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles.
Based on your feedback, we've adjusted the pattern! We increased the neckband stitches and changed the circular needle size to 5.50mm for a better neck opening.
