Small Blocks Baby Blanket | Project Kit

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting

The blanket centre features small blocks of purl fabric set into a stocking stitch background. Some of these blocks are worked in the main colour and some are worked using intarsia in one of four contrasting colours.

The blanket is mostly worked in one piece, beginning with the bottom garter stitch border. The side borders are picked up and worked once the main blanket piece is finished. The borders are mitred for a neat finish and feature a simple two-colour mosaic section.

Note: The pattern includes detailed instructions on working the simple 5-stitch, 6-row intarsia blocks.

This kit uses colours from the Bellissimo 8 yarn.

Because there are so many colour combinations for this blanket, we've put together our recommendations for you. We've chosen primary colours for the contrasting small blocks, which you can pair with either Cream or Silver as the main colour.
