31864 Small Blocks Baby Blanket (e-pattern)

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting

The blanket centre features small blocks of purl fabric set into a stocking stitch background. Some of these blocks are worked in the main colour and some are worked using intarsia in one of four contrasting colours.

The blanket is mostly worked in one piece, beginning with the bottom garter stitch border. The side borders are picked up and worked once the main blanket piece is finished. The borders are mitred for a neat finish and feature a simple two-colour mosaic section.

The pattern includes detailed instructions on working the simple 5-stitch, 6-row intarsia blocks.

Length approx.: 75cm / 30ins

8 ply/DK weight wool approx. 760 metre/828 yards of Main Colour (M), and 20 metres/22 yards each of four contrasting colours (C1, C2, C3, and C4).
