If you're looking to up your knitting game, why not join our Sock-a-thon KAL with Shara, from @shara_made? You'll learn all about mosaic knitting in the round. The pattern is easy to memorise, and your work is easy to read, so it’s a relaxing knit.
The Certus Socks are worked from the cuff down, with the mosaic pattern continuing all the way down the foot, including the sole, with an interesting gusset detail, along with a traditional heel flap and turn.
You have two ways to join the Sock-a-thon Certus Socks KAL with SharaMade!

Below is the schedule of activities for the Sock-a-thon KAL!
Kick-off Zoom | Saturday October 7th | 2.30-3.30 pm
When you sign up for the Sockathon KAL, you will receive a Zoom invitation to join Shara's Kick off session at 2.30 pm on Saturday, October 7th. Shara will introduce the Certus Socks design, demonstrate the mosaic pattern, and answer any questions you might have. A recording of the session will be sent via email so that you can review it during the month of October.
Videos demonstrating the tricky parts of the Certus Socks!
Shara will be releasing two video recordings to help you complete the sock on time.
1. Saturday 14th October : video demonstration of the heal turn and gusset
2. Saturday 21st October : video demonstration on how to finish the toe.
Yarn Packs
The Certus Socks pattern is a fun introduction to mosaic knitting. And because the pattern combines 2 different coloured sock yarns, it’s a good way to use leftover sock yarn as well! Shara has also chosen four different Yarn Packs (using Inca Spun Heritage and Plassard Tradi Merino) to give you a spark of creativity if you need some yarn ideas. When you purchase a Yarn Pack, you'll get a copy of the Certus Socks pattern and you'll automatically be signed up for the KAL.

Materials:
-2.5mm needles, or size to give correct tension/gauge
-Yarn: approximately 200m Main Colour, 150m Contrast Colour
-stitch markers
-tapestry needle, to weave in yarn ends
Tension/Gauge:
8sts per 2.5cm (1”) in Stocking Stitch, correct gauge/tension is essential to the success of this pattern, so don’t hesitate to go up or down a needle size to obtain correct gauge/tension. If your gauge/tension is dramatically different your socks may be too big or too small.
Finished Size:
Approx 19cm (7.5”) foot circumference, unstretched, with a customisable length.
