Yarn-a-Thon 2019 in support of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation
We’re running our annual Yarn-a-Thon for the month of May, with an Overnight Knit on the 25 & 26 May, this year we are fundraising for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (CBCF).
Around 1700 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia annually and approximately 1200 die from the disease every year. You can read more about CBCF and the people we will he helping on their website here.
You can read all about our Yarn-a-Thon in the – and if we’ve missed anything, give us a call on 03 5962 6635. We would love it if you could help us reach our target of $9,000.
Below are also some frequently asked Q&A you may still have:
This diagram is a summary of how it all works, and the Information Pack also provides full details on the event.
How much does it cost? Nothing, it’s free to be involved.
How do I make a donation?
We’ve set up a Cure Brain Cancer Foundation account for you to deposit your money into when you're ready.
Do I need to raise a certain amount?
Whatever amount you raise will be fantastic…because being a group fundraiser, every little bit helps.
How can I share my progress?
We’d LOVE you to share pictures of your items as they are progressing: The Information Pack contains all the information you’ll need about hashtags and sharing photos and videos.
What is the Crane Installation Project? - this is a fun project and an easy way for you and your friends to get involved without the need to ask for donations by helping us yarn bomb the CBCF "crane" in our window. Because the CBCF’s logo is a crane, we’re going to decorate a crane in flowers in their corporate colours which will be on display in our window.
