Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting

The graphic stitch used in this Baby Acacia Mosaic beanie developed by Debra Kinsey Knits is a variation of Barbara Walker’s simulated basketweave pattern. The mosaic pattern is worked by a sequence of slipped stitches while working 2-round stripes, using one colour at a time.

It is knitted from the bottom edge up. It can be worked from the chart or the written instructions. This beanie requires intermediate knitting skills. Choose a size that will stretch to fit baby’s head size. It is intended to be worn with negative ease. If desired, any leftover yarn can be made in to a pompom.
